Job Summary: The registered nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients. This individual demonstrates competence in the delivery of care to an adult population with psychiatric-mental health and chemical dependency needs. The registered nurse job description reflects the ANA scope and standards of practice for RN's as well the standards for psychiatric-mental health nursing. Other duties as assigned.
Experience: Two years experience working in the mental health field is preferred.
Education: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Licensure: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR. Mandt certification within 90 days of hire. Board certified in Psychiatric nursing preferred.
