Registered Nurse - Critical Care Category: Registered Nurse/ Nurse Leadership Facility: Caritas Holy Family Hospital & Medical Center Methuen Department: ICU/CCU Schedule: Part-time Shift: Day Hours: 24 hours per week; 7:00am - 7:30pm and EOW rotation Job Details: Job Description: Performs primary functions of the RN in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of the critically ill adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient. The Critical Care Unit is a very busy 16-bed unit. The staff is trained to care for both cardiac and medical patients as well as the post-operative patient requiring close monitoring and intensive nursing care. There is a strong emphasis on the care of the critically ill cardiac, neurosurgical, and vascular surgical patient. The CICU maintains a strong focus on family-centered care for all patients. The staff is supported by a full-time critical care clinical specialist and on-going education for both the new and experienced critical care nurse is a high priority. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, licensed in Massachusetts. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
