REGISTERED NURSE - CRITICAL CARE Department: Critical Care Unit Schedule: Part-time Shift: Days, Rotational Wknds & Hldys Hours: 7am to 7pm Hours Per Pay Period: Job Details: POSITION SUMMARY
Monitors and treats the critically ill patient through the use of advanced assessment skills and techniques, as learned in critical care classes, coronary classes, and other specialized classes as appropriate to the patient population. Identifies emergent situations and uses sound judgment in instituting established procedures. Responds in a calm and efficient manner.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana or any other state with evidence of application for Indiana licensure.
Required:
* Basic EKG
* ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) and PALS (pediatric advanced life support)
* Critical care classes
* Coronary care class
* ST and 12 lead monitor training
* All mandatory competencies as designated by the hospital and the critical care unit
