REGISTERED NURSE - CARDIOVASCULAR ICU Department: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Schedule: Part-time Shift: Nights, Rotational Wknds & Hldys Hours: 7:00pm - 7:00am Hours Per Pay Period: 24 Job Details: POSITION SUMMARY
Provides direct and indirect patient care in a therapeutic manner focusing on a multidisciplinary approach. Monitors and treats the cardiovascular intensive care patient through the use of critical thinking and advanced assessment skills and techniques as appropriate to the patient population. Identifies emergent situations and uses sound judgment in instituting established procedures. Responds in a calm and efficient manner.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Indiana or any other state with evidence of application for Indiana licensure. REQUIRED: Basic EKG course, or equivalent experience and knowledge to test through materials. Maintains current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) training. Critical Care Classes or equivalent experience and knowledge to test through materials. Coronary Care Classes or equivalent experience and knowledge to test through materials. 12-Lead EKG monitoring and assessment training or equivalent experience and knowledge to test through materials. IABP training or equivalent experience and knowledge to test through materials. All mandatory competencies as designated by the hospital and the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. RECOMMENDED: CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) Certification.
