REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF HIM
SUMMARY:
The REGIONAL Health Information Management (HIM) Director is responsible for assisting in the development and evolution of the overall strategy for the Company's operations in the Health Information Management Service Center (HSC). The HIM Director is responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations and workflow of the HIM department at the facility. The HIM Director interprets policies and procedures, recommends changes as appropriate, and provides relevant feedback. The HIM Director assists the HSC Operations Director with the oversight and implementation of HSC operational planning, service level agreements, budgets, workflow processes and internal controls. The HIM Director actively participates in the unbilled management process and resolution of issues contributing to unbilled accounts. As the HIM Director, this person serves as a key promoter of the HSC and is responsible for setting the tone of the center as a service organization, continuously seeking to understand, meet and exceed customer expectations and needs.
This is a travel related position.
FTEs = 2-10 HIM D's or Managers, 1-2 Operation Manager 1-4 Transcription Managers or an average of 8-10 reports
