Radiology Technologist -
Title: Radiology Technologist - Location: TX-Weatherford Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at appropriate technical level. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required, in Out Patient clinical setting.
The Radiologic Technologist will provide optimum patient care while using imaging modalities, performs radiographic procedures, applies principles of radiation protection and the ALARA principle, exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures, provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures for all patients from infancy to the geriatric patient, recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures, establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and the Medical Staff. Performs radiology services "on call" as needed. Responsible for knowledge of human anatomy, routine positioning and specialized view positioning, technical factors and film selection, radiation safety, proper sterile technique, PACS / CR / Meditech (as related to imaging) and contrast media administration. Must be flexible in schedule and working environment.
Required to work scheduled and rotating shifts in the hospital as needed and cover scheduled holidays and cover call as needed.
* Must posses a diploma from an JCERT approved school of Radiologic Technology. * At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment. * ARRT Certification in Radiologic Technology * Current Texas Department of State Health Services licensure required * 1 year Hospital experience preferred * Meditech experience preferred * Highly organized, friendly and team player * Experience with Community Cares a plus * Holiday shifts required * Call requiredPrimary Locaiton: TX-Weatherford
