The Staff Technologist works with patients to produce high quality radiographs in accordance with the mission and philosophy of St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center. This position reports to the Radiology Coordinator. Essential Functions: * Performs radiographic examinations per established protocols and procedures. * Assists radiologists and other physicians as required in the performance of radiologic exam. * Operates all equipment safely and efficiently and reports any equipment problems promptly. * Maintains room cleanliness and all necessary supplies for assigned working area. * Records pertinent information in order to maintain accurate records. * Supervises student technologists and evaluates their performance upon request. * Maintains a positive representation of the department to all hospital personnel, physicians, and public, demonstrating professional interactions and addressing customer's interests and concerns. * Maintains professional standards by participating in in-services, meetings, committees, and continuing education. * Education: * Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or registry eligible as a graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology and to achieve registration within six months of graduation of hire date. Experience: * See education requirements. License/Certification: * ARRT or eligible. * CPR.
