Title/Unit: Quality Management Coordinator
Shift/Schedule: Full-time
Job Summary: The Quality Management Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the overall coordination of the Medical Staff/Hospital-wide Performance Improvement activities.Maintains records and performance improvement documentation to support credentialing.Assists with the coordination of hospital wide PI Teams.Completes evaluations of patient's care using approved indicators and established parameters.Documents review and findings as per hospital department standards.Works with the Director of Quality Management in developing organizational wide action plans for specific reporting parameters that are based on the organizations standards for patient assessment.Analyzes data for trends of improvement and/or areas of concern and maintains mechanism to follow-up on areas of concern.Enters data into COMET applications for the JCAHO Core Measures, as well as the IRR data for JCAHO Core Measures Projects within designated time frame.
Communicates with Medical Staff/Department Chairpersons regarding the findings of the quality assessment and evaluation activities.Meets with the department or designated physician to review the information to be presented to the committee/department meetings.Customizes COMET and CHOIS reports and reviews cases that fallout and refers them for physician review.
Requirements:
High School or GED required
Bachelor's Degree required
Current Florida RN license required
CPHQ Certification preferred by not required
Foreign Medical Doctor with Quality experience preferred
1-3 years of experience in Quality Management in an acute care setting
Good communication skills
Computer knowledge of spreadsheet, word processor
