SUMMARY Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products and assisting in the management of selected Quality Systems, Quality Assurance and Quality Control as defined by the Director of QA/RA. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration of material and parts to assure the quality of assigned product or component. · Actively participates in the Supplier Management program. Reviews and approves new vendors. Acts as Technical Specialist in supplier-related quality issues. Reviews and approves supplier corrective actions when appropriate. Maintains Approved Supplier list · Provides technical support for product liability litigation. · Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes. · Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor. Provides assistance and training for incoming inspections. · Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures. · Provides technical support for Customer Service and Returns Dept. · Evaluate complaints/returns. · Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities. · Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management. · Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities. · Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management. · Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards. * Gives and welcomes constructive feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit. * Treats others with respect; works with integrity and ethically; upholds organizational values. * Performs general housekeeping duties within the area. * Observes companyâ?Ts safety procedures and policy at all times.
