Description
BASIC PURPOSE:Drive the Quality agenda for Beverage Innovation in the areas including, but not limited to, natural/all natural ingredients, recovery ingredients, organic sweeteners and other critical focus areas. This role is a key enabler to the effective implementation, internal alignment and flawless execution of on-boarding qualified suppliers of unique and novel ingredients into the PepsiCo system. In addition, lead and execute a comprehensive, worldwide supplier quality management program with an integrated focus on food safety, security and supplier performance measures across all Sweeteners and Beverage Ingredients. Manage the development, and implementation of the Supplier Audit Program, including the development and enhancement of robust supplier guidelines, auditing criteria and ongoing supplier performance monitoring to continue to minimize business exposure in the areas of Quality and Food NCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Provide strategic leadership and direction to PWF Quality to effectively bring in new, functionality focused ingredients into the system while ensuring compliance to the Concentrate Tax Model - Lead and execute the Risk Mitigation Plan for Chinese-sourced ingredients and added Food Safety scrutiny for all foreign sourced raw materials - Operate as a subject matter expert on supplier quality and food safety within Strategic Supply Management - Build and enhance relationships across PepsiCo Quality counterparts and internal stakeholders worldwide to leverage knowledge and skills of available resources to execute as a single organization to our suppliers - Develop Quality best practices to influence business strategies both internally and externally to maximize economies of scale - Develop a network of internal and external (industry recognized) resources to ensure timely communication of evolving trends, best practices or world events that could impact the integrity of sourced ingredient(s) - Manage and develop direct report to ensure effective execution of supplier quality and business activitiesDIRECTIONDirection and leadership is provided by the Vice President, Worldwide Sweeteners & Beverage IngredientsWORKING ENVIRONMENT - Objectives and strategies are developed in alignment with the Annual Operating Plan and overall business needs of the Worldwide Sweeteners and Beverage Ingredients team - Percent of travel = 20-25%RESPONSIBILITY/DECISION MAKING AUTHORITYSUPERVISORY ROLE - Directly supervise Technical Manager, Sweeteners and Beverage Ingredients
Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Minimum ten (10) years experience in Quality Assurance, Technical Services or related Quality Food & Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods industry - Strong project management skills - Strategic thinker - Leadership and coaching proficiency - Ability to lead and influence cross-divisional/multi-functional personnel - Excellent written/verbal presentation skillsINTERNAL/EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPSInterface daily with the Vice President, Worldwide Sweeteners & Beverage Ingredients, Directors, and members of the ong relationships with Business partners and key stakeholders including, but not limited to, PepsiCo R&D, QTG and FLNA divisions, PWF, PI, China IPO, PBC and Independent Bottlers, and Sweetener/Beverage Ingredient RCES OF SUPPORT - Support from Vice President, Worldwide Sweeteners & Beverage Ingredients, Directors, and members of the Team - Support from network of internal stakeholders, including China IPO, QTG, FLNA, PI and PWF Divisions and Division Quality leads - Support from PepsiCo Regulatory Affairs - Support from the International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT)
