Purchasing Supervisor
NextMed is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, positive, self-motivated, and ambitious Full Time Purchasing Supervisor in Tucson, AZ.
Potential candidates should have 5-10 years experience working in a Purchasing Management, Materials Procurement, and Inventory Management function.
Hours are Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm.
Job Summary: The Purchasing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and preparing requisitions and processing purchase orders, vendor management, inventory management, and special projects.
Job Requirements:
-2 or 4 Year Degree is preferred -Prior experience in an accounting position is a PLUS!
-5-10 years experience in Purchasing Management/Procurement
-Computer literacy is required, including experience with Microsoft Office suite (including MS Excel and MS Word)
-Procure materials, components and equipment at a favorable cost, consistent with quality and schedule
-Identify potential suppliers that drive customer satisfaction and cost benefit
-Must have the ability to effectively negotiate with vendors and build positive business relationships
-Ability to research and find new sourcing opportunities, track cost reductions and report company savings
-Ability to forecast company needs with regards to equipment and supplies
-Must have experience with inventory management , stock movement, cycle counting, and reconciliation
-Successful candidate will be extremely detail-oriented with a high level of organizational skills
-Must have effective communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
-Must exhibit a strong sense of urgency
-Must be able to multi-task and follow-through with multiple projects
-Ability to effectively work independently or within a department environment
-Ability to interface with all levels of the organization
-Must have a willingness to learn new skills and work within a changing, dynamic environment.
