JOB SUMMARY:
The Psychiatric attendant gives direct patient care by providing/assisting patients' in activities of daily living. He/She helps with activity programs and off unit excursions in accordance with Patient Care Services and Organizational policies/procedures. He/She keeps abreast of techniques/skills, current practices and regulation appropriate to age of patients served.
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
1. High school graduate
2. Successfully complete the Nursing Assistant I Program.
3. Currently listed at a Nursing Assistant I with NC Division of Facility services
