Complete Description
Performs assessment of patients upon admission and as needed. Provides professional nursing care to patients of all ages, pediatric, adult and geriatrics. May be expected to do follow-up care by way of telephone inquiries.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALING, AND TRAINING
REQUIRED: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Must have a current North Carolina license as a Registered Nurse. Must be CPR certified. This employee will be required to demonstrate competence in the performance of duties specific to the age groups of the patients with whom he or she will come in contact. ACLS/PALS Certification.
PREFERRED: Specialty course work or experience in assigned area, one year's experience in Outpatient Surgery. Med-Surg certification; Pediatric certification;
EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED: No previous experience is required to be a successful candidate for this position. The successful candidate will be given training and on-the-job experience so as to be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within a three (3) month period.
PREFERRED: One year prior outpatient nursing experience is preferred.
