JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing the pricing function for one or more AGCO product families, the Pricing Manager will work closely with the Sales, Marketing and Finance departments in delivering improved company profitability via the optimization of wholegood and component pricing. Strong analytical ability and attention to detail will enable the Pricing Manager to accurately assess the competitive positioning of AGCO products against competitors. Analyzing market and pricing data will allow the Pricing Manager to perform sensitivity analysis and evaluate pricing and incentive decisions by quantifying the financial impact of various pricing scenarios. The Pricing Manager will analyze markets and competitors in support of product target price setting and conduct profitability analyses to guide the effective mitigation of margin leakage. Excellent communication skills will help the Pricing Manger communicate pricing improvements and strategies to the organization. This position will support the Pricing Director and Marketing team with the incorporation and maintenance of pricing data, development of pricing and incentives strategies, effectiveness tracking, and management of relevant pricing tools and software.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set pricing targets for assigned product groups
Create pricing waterfall to identify areas of margin leakage
Analyze region, product, and customer segment profitability
Collaborate with product marketing for market and competitor analysis
Analyze discount program efficiency and effectiveness
Develop pricing scenario and evaluation metrics
EDUCATION:
B.S. or B.A. in Business, Accounting or related field. MBA highly preferred. Technical degree (e.g. Engineering) with business-related experience also desirable.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Industrial marketing or pricing experience with capital equipment manufacturer
Marketing-related financial analysis (e.g., break-even analysis, business case development)
Project leadership of complex projects (e.g., cross-functional, large budget) start to finish
Demonstrated experience working with and presenting to executives
Knowledge of agricultural equipment and industry a plus
ESSENTIAL ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving skills; Ability to identify data requirements, quantify assumptions, create hypotheses, and analyze large data sets
Process-driven approach; Ability to analyze the current way of doing business, identify gaps and provide recommendations for improvements. Six sigma / lean operations project experience.
Excellent organizational skills; Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize resources / activities and assess project risks.
Excellent presentation and communication skills; Ability to anticipate audience interests and tailor presentation and delivery style appropriately. Leadership through a persuasive communication style consistent with company culture.
Self-starter with detail orientation; Ability to progressively expand work scope by finding white spaces in the organization and demonstrating a “follow-through” work ethic
