This position identifies and codes inpatient/outpatient professional fees for physicians. This billing/coding encompasses all payer types (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, insurance, managed care, and direct patient pay) and/or all specialties (Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Neonatology, OB-Gyn, Surgery, Orthopaedics, and Otolaryngology etc.) within a physician practice. This position interacts with all levels of the organization to ensure cost-effective, accurate and timely coding of professional services. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values and management of Partners and Practice Physicians/Claims and Billing.
Experience Requirements :
A minimum of one year of coding experience. Two years experience in physician billing/coding preferred. Previous medical or clinical experience helpful.
Education Requirements :
High school diploma. Knowledge of governmental and private insurers documentation guidelines required.
