Job Summary: Provides technical and clerical assistance to the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders and the monitoring of drug therapy. May procure measure compound count and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. Functions within the guidelines of Chapter 7 of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program or previous experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
Special Skills: Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Detail oriented. Experience with various computer systems and programs.
Licensure: Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board within the first three months of hire.
