Patient Care Tech Department: Rehab Units 3rd Flr Schedule: Active Part Time Shift: 1 First Shift Days Hours: 24 hours Job Details: Responsible for completing a variety of activities and tasks comprising the care of patients and their families. This role is a member of a designated care team functioning under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. The PCT is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives and policies of the department and the hospital. Assists patients with activities of daily living. Performs and records in patients' charts, basic nursing care procedures such as collecting routine specimens, taking V.S., intake and outpatient and weight, assisting with nutritional needs. Performs various duties involved in the care of the patient with dressings, some diagnostic testing, etc. Requires High School diploma or GED. CPR certification. Must be a graduate of CNA program or possess recent experience as a nurse assistant, orderly or clinical experience as student nurse. PCT experience preferred. Acute care experience preferred. Positive attitude and communication skills a must!
