Patient Care Coordinator- Radiation Oncology Department: Radiation Oncology Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day shift Hours: 8am-4:30-pm Monday-Friday Job Details: Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent; 6 months related experience preferred; medical terminology and knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and internet software. Responsibilities:performs clerical, registration, and reception duties with significant patient contact. Greets patients and visitors, answers department telephones, triages phone calls and delivers messages. Enters information into department and hospital information systems including inputting registration, referral, diagnostic and treatment data. Coordinates the scheduling of patient tests and ancillary services, assembles patient charts, files reports and correspondences in medical record and routes to proper departmental area for close-out or future appointments.
