Patient Attendant Department: Surgery Schedule: Full-time Shift: Variable Hours: Job Details: * High School Diploma with Post Specialized Training * Responsible for transporting patients, supplies, and equipment to and from surgery. Orders supplies and performs area clean ups. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Provides supportive services under the direction of a registered nurse so that surgical room needs/requirements are met, are timely, and are appropriate.
2. Implements clinical and technical aspects of support services in accordance with established policies and procedures in a timely and efficient manner.
3. Practices positive responses to job demands, changes, through organizational and time management to enhance positive outcomes in patient care, department needs, and the Center's mission.
4. Enhances positive relations with all customers, including patients, families and Center staff in other departments.
5. Enhances the practice of family centered care and provides individual customer focus and practices service recovery.
6. As a representative of the Center, demonstrates responsibility and accountability for enhancing positive interactions and for diffusing negative interactions.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; business college or course work preferred. Participates in FMC University classes or FMC University graduate preferred. Non-nursing rhythm recognition course preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Annual CPR certification. Certified Nursing Assistant Training preferred.
