JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of Patient Access Manager, the Patient Account Representative registers new patients, updates demographic and insurance information on existing patients, collects date of service and patient accounts receivable, and provides an explanation and interpretation of Clinic billing policies and the patient's statement of account. Requires ability to cover day, evening, weekend and holiday hours. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or equivalent. Experience in patient account activities or collections and knowledge of computerized systems preferred. Ability to handle conflict and effectively interact with customers concerning sensitive matters, and maintain the Clinic's image as a warm and caring provider of health care services.
