Title: Patient Access Representative Part Time - On-Call- Nacogdoches Medical Center - Nacogdoches, TX Location: TX-Nacogdoches Conifer Health Solutions is currently hiring for a Part Time On-Call Patient Access Representative at Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches, TX. As a Patient Access Representative you will be responsible for pre-registration of scheduled accounts, verifying insurance coverage, benefits, and obtaining pre-certification, referral or authorization as needed per insurance company requirements. This will be for all in-patients and pre-scheduled out-patients in accordance with the PARG.
Must have a flexible schedule and able to work part time and as needed.
Other duties include: * Responsible for obtaining complete and accurate demographic and financial information from a variety of sources, including patient interviews, physician offices and in-house departments. * Performs required pre-certification, credit referral or deposit collection. Enters data in computer and thoroughly documents any incomplete admissions/registrations in manner prescribed. Obtains pre-certification, referral or authorization number and updates patients' file. * Gives demographic information to insurance companies and calls physicians' offices if clinical information is needed for pre-certification and verifies the information obtained. * Notifies patients, family members, physicians and/or supervisors of network insurance coverage issues that may result in coverage reduction. Notifies patients of co-payments, deductibles or deposits needed, when applicable, documenting all information in computer system. * Completes Compliance Checker Process in accordance with Regulatory and Conifer Guidelines. * Maintains positive customer service at all times, referring unresolved issues to appropriate supervisor. * Answers telephone calls. Follows pre-established script and provide assistance to callers. * High School Diploma or equivalent * 0 - 1 year in a Patient Financial Services position (Six months preferred) * Some college coursework is preferred
