P 8A Avionics Technician Jacksonville

Performs the change, removal, replacement or upgrade of aircraft components to correct failures or implement changes. Conducts troubleshooting of complex pneumatic, hydraulic, engine, and structural components and systems. Ensures validation/verification of testing systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications, and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Performs tasks associated with the safe handling of an aircraft. Provides PQS certification to government personnel. Works under minimal supervision. Applies professional technical expertise to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturer's manuals. Performs all maintenance action IAW CNAFINST 4790.2 series processes and procedures. Identifies material and special tools needs to accomplish daily work assignment. May be required to support detachments away from MOB. Must have 12 years experience supporting a maintenance organization (737 and 4790 experience highly desirable). Knowledge and experience working with Navy PQS is highly desirable

Technical

• Aircraft Maintenance
Complete knowledge of customer aircraft maintenance processes, policies, culture, and standard practices (e.g., return to service, normal duties/responsibilities, time constraints, available resources) in order to effectively represent the customer within the company.

• Troubleshooting
The complete ability to use established physical, mechanical, or scientific principles and perform appropriate tests to identify and solve problems encountered on the job. This includes the ability to locate and isolate the problem, identify possible solutions, and select approaches that are practical and effective.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Do you have a minimum of 12 years aircraft maintenance experience?

Do you have an FCC or A&P License?

Typical Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED and typically 4 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Job related information
Education: Associate Degree or High School Diploma and a minimum of 12 years maintenance experience. MUST have an FAA A&P license. Must be US Citizen and capable of obtaining a SECRET clearance. Subsidiary benefits apply. Contract duration is one year.
