Must have OR Experience. The OR Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for assisting the OR staff in the optimal use of the computer system applications. This includes coordinating integration of OR systems with internal and external systems Liaison to other hospital departments including, but not limited to Finance, Supply Chain, Admitting, Infection Control, Risk Management, IT & S, and HIMS. Responsible for installation, upgrades, and updates. Responsible for ensuring data integrity through periodic audits. Reviewing/revising policies/procedures in the use of supplied system software. Performs any other job related duties as requested by the Manager or Department Director. Data collection and statistical information will be maintained by this individual. Maintain OR competency for staffing needs. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have OR Experience. Bachelor Degree in Nursing and/or Informatics preferred Or Minimum 2 years experience implementing or managing OR scheduling/documentation systems. Advanced computer skills. Previous circulator or nurse educator in the OR with the minimum 3 years recent experience. Demonstrated competence with patient care information systems, preferably MEDITECH. Strong planning, analytical, and written skills. Basic understanding and ability to utilize the nursing process. Ability to utilize database, spreadsheet and word processing to conduct analysis of OR statistical reports. Ability to educate staff using adult learning principals. |
