UNIT DESCRIPTION: 5 Medical Tower: This 31-bed unit provides care to post-op surgical adult and geriatric patients with remote telemetry monitoring availability. The post-op surgical unit is distinguished for the quality and variety of services provided and extraordinary commitment to caring for the post-op patient. Patient population includes patients with colo-rectal disease, general surgical procedures, GI disorders, urology, bariatric, and ortho/neuro procedures. Unit specific orientation is provided along with the availability of a nurse educator working directly on the unit. 8 hour shifts are utilized on this unit.
UNIT DESCRIPTION: 6 Medical Tower is a 32-bed unit providing nursing care to a variety of acutely ill patients, thus offering a wide range of patient care experiences. Our patient population is designated as general medical and surgical with subspecialties in oncology, adult cystic fibrosis, and palliative care. Our collaborative approach to patient care allows for ample opportunity for physician interaction as well as multidisciplinary planning with a dedicated social worker and case manager. 6 Medical Tower is welcoming of new graduates and a wonderful area for the successful applicant to gain a diverse medical/surgical foundation.
UNIT DESCRIPTION: 7 Medical Tower is a 31-bed medical-surgical unit. The primary patient population is renal, medical and post-op surgical. We specialize in Peritoneal Dialysis which is performed on the nursing unit. The complexity of the renal and medical adult patient's altered cardiac, endocrine and GI systems make 7 Tower a wonderful start for the novice nurse as well as the seasoned medical surgical expert nurse
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
BS or pursing Masters preferred, RN license. 3 total yrs exp in hospital required with 2yrs exp in management, certification preferred. Responsible for staff retention, staff physician relations, budgets, staffing plans and all department operations.
