Job Description

This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other activities as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation (hospital), Credentialing and Scope of Practice (Medical Group), Consultation and Referral Plan (DOPL) or other similar documentation as appropriate. As part of that patient care, this position is accountable to: deliver optimal patient care through effective clinical practice; education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others; consultation with other healthcare providers; and maintain current knowledge regarding options for optimal patient care and outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

• Licensure in the State of Utah as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with prescriptive practice is required or license eligible
• Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II through V
• A current healthcare provider or professional rescuer level Basic Life Support (BLS) is required by start date.  An original card will be verified by start date or offer will be withdrawn. 
• A current ACLS certification is required by start date.  An original card will be verified by start date or offer will be withdrawn.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and decision making skills

• One year or more of clinical work experience in a ICU or neurology-based practice 

Physical Requirements

• Hearing/listening, manual dexterity, lifting, pulling/pushing, seeing, speaking
