We have an opening for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant(NP/PA) to join our employer health center located on the campus of Cummins inClinton, IA. This position is for 8 hours per week. We prefer two 4 hour shifts. We can be flexible on days and would like to discuss your availability

Responsibilities include:
Provide occupational health services (i.e., occupational surveillance exams, medical monitoring, and Worker's Compensation medical guidance)
Conducts histories and physical examinations for acute episodic care and prescribes medications and/or medical treatments based on best practice standards
Develops treatment plans in collaboration with patients; educates and advises on medical issues as needed
Provides referrals both internally and externally to appropriate medical resource or specialty
Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice and as defined by Take Care Health privileging process
Maintains medical records (In some health centers it may be using Electronic Medical Record software) While working at this large employer site, you will have the ability to get to know your patients, while helping to improve their health status and taking care of their immediate health needs.

Requirements
Masters Degree required
At least three years of clinical experience as a Practitioner in an occupational health, or emergency department setting is strongly preferred
Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Iowa. Nationally certified as a Family, Adult or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner through the AANP or ANCC
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
Appropriate certification to write prescriptions under the authority of the Site Medical Director, if allowed within state of practice.
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Iowa Certified as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA or AAPA
