• Responsible for the overall planning, budgeting, staffing, performance, and operation of the department in conjunction with the director as well as performance and annual review of direct reports.
• Responsible and accountable for successful daily operation of the patient care unit/service.
• Manages operations within the budget.
• Serves as representative for all customers.
• Acts as liaison to other hospital departments.
• Provides productivity oversight and review.
• Works with Charge Nurses to achieve productivity standards.
• Executes and provides two-way communication of our mission, vision, values, and strategic plan for the department (staff meetings, rounds, etc.).
• Demonstrates models, applies, and assures healing healthcare philosophy permeates all interactions, care and service.
• Assist with quality, customer service and regulatory (JCAHO/CMS/etc.) compliance oversight: EMS â€"" Receipt, assignment, tracking and trending, delegation, oversight trending of quality and financial indicators including LOS with case manager support.

• Minimum of five years nursing experience required, of which three years should be progressively more responsible experience relating to a management role.
• Experience relating to a specialty area of nursing preferred.
• Prior experience in ICU Nursing jobs required.
• Specific Skills Required: Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current RN licensure with the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN degree or bachelors degree in management or other health related field; or willingness to work towards a bachelors degree within a specified amount of time required.
• Masters degree in nursing, management or related field preferred.
