Delivers professional nursing care to all patients presenting to the Cardiac Catherization, Interventional Radiology and EP Lab; follows standard of care utilizing nursing process in delivery of care; maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions. Responsible for the delivery of nursing care for all patients coming to the Cardiac Catherization, Interventional Radiology and EP Lab; performs nursing assessment/diagnosis/care plan/implementation of treatment/evaluation of treatment for all patients; administers treatment/medication/procedures within scope of practice;participates in coordination of care with Cardiac Cath Lab Management, departmental staff, physicians and ancillary services.
Requirements:
Current RN license
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider and ACLS.
Minimum 1 year ICU, CCU or Cardiac Cath Lab Experience
Current Knowledge of ECG monitoring
I.A.B.P. experience preferred
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
Possess the ability to work as member of a team or independently as the needs require and to prioritize responsibilities
Clinically proficient in cath lab procedures demonstrating.
EP experience a must! Have to be at the hospital within 20-30 minutes.
