Title/Unit: Orthopedic Coordinator
Shift/Schedule: Full-time
Job Summary: The Orthopedic Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining service to the orthopedic product line for all patients, physicians and staff.This includes the patient's pre-operative visit, operative procedure, post-procedure care and discharge.The position requires expert knowledge of orthopedics including current knowledge of operative techniques and care required by the patient population.The orthopedic coordinator supports the patient satisfaction goals and objectives established by Management.In addition the orthopedic coordinator works with the Director of Physician relations and participates in the orthopedic community lectures presented at the hospital.Responsible for the patient coordination when scheduled for an orthopedic procedure from registration to pre-operative appointment, surgery and post surgery.Works closely with physicians regarding orthopedic needs and responds to all requests and issues in a timely manner.Prepares all reports including orthopedic program activities.
Requirements:
Required:
State of Florida Nursing License
Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
CPR
Preferred:
2 years Medical Surgical Experience
ACLS & PALS certifications
