Job Summary:
Manages departmental personnel through direction provided by director. Assists staff to achieve their full potential as members of an effective team through innovative management practices. -Ensures that staff has proper orientation and documented competencies in all areas of the department's scope of services to provide a competent level of nursing care for all patients -Assists in hiring qualified personnel according to PMC mission and vision, unit goals, scope of services and fiscal resources; based on the individual's qualifications, skill and experience. Serves successfully as interim Director as needed.
Manages all direct and indirect nursing care given to patients within the department to ensure optimal patient care. -Responsible for the identification, interpretation, implementation and evaluation of the unit's standards of nursing care. Demonstrates management skills that include but are not limited to the ability to plan and organize staffing and direct and control daily activities in the department. Proactively assists physicians and other health care providers as needed. -Identifies and responds to trends of patient dissatisfaction regarding their experience. Develops a plan of action or quality control program for any identified trends. Assists the manager or director in the continual assessment and improvement of the department's performance and abilities.
Requirements:
Basic Life Support Certification, Registered Nurse BSN two years leadership experience, experience in clinic/office nursing. Minimum two year's urology experience
