Job Description
PRACTICE SPECIFICS
·Join a group of 3 adult and 2 child/adolescent psychiatrists as part of a Behavioral Health Care Team. The team also includesdoctoral level psychologists, advanced nurse practitioners, psychotherapists and nurse clinicians.
·Busy outpatient practice involves patients with the full range of psychiatric illnesses.
·Consultation/liaison service available with wide range of specialties and subspecialties.
·Psychiatry adult in-patient unit has 37 beds; Child/Adolescent unit has 16 beds.
·3 partial hospital programs for adults, children and adolescents and an Outpatient Adoescent Chemical Dependency Program.
·Service includes an onsite 24 hr/7 day per week behavioral health referral center for assessment and triage staffed by seasoned psychiatric nurses and psychotherapists.

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS NP/CNS
·Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state.
·Current certification in CPR.
·National certification asan Adult or Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse.
·Successful completion of SMDC credentialing process prior to practice.
REQUIREMENTS NP
·Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state.
·Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in appropriate state.
·Current certification in CPR.
·National certification asan Adult or Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse.
·Successful completion of SMDC credentialing process prior to practice.

REQUIREMENTS CNS
Is licensed as either an Adult or Fanily Psychiatry and Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist(PMHCNS), with graduate coursework in:

·.Advanced health assessment (to include both physical and mental health).

·Pathophysiology (or neurophysiology/biophysiology).
·Pharmacology and/or psychopharmacology (both preferred).
·Diagnosis and medication management of psychiatric illness (clinical practicum): and have supervised clincal training at the graduate or post graduate level.
