Our network of physician owned facilities offers a list of services, making PHS the leader in healthcare in north central Indiana and southwest Michigan including Doctors Hospital and Neuromuscular Center, RiverCrest Specialty Hospital and Unity Medical and Surgical Hospital. We are seeking to fill the following positions: Director of Surgical Services: This positions oversees the team leaders and staff in pre-op, surgery and post-op areas. Will plan and coordinate the nursing unit's services with those of the medical and administrative systems. Participates as a member of the hospital's management team in planning, policy formulation, and decision making with. Is responsible for patient care, management, resource management, and fiscal management. Works closely with administrative and medical staff reporting directly to the Director of Nursing. Circulating Nurse: Full Time and PRN. The Intra-Operative Registered Nurse provides nursing care to the patient during the intra-operative phase. Performs nursing activities in the operating room where the circulating nurse is the patient's advocate. Answers patient needs by assisting the physician and person responsible for anesthesia care. Must have IN RN license and a minimum of 1 year prior surgical experience. Certified Surgical Technician: Full Time and PRN. One year surgery experience preferred. BLS required. Certified Surgical Technologist required. Admission and Discharge Liaison: Must be a Registered Nurse in Indiana. This position will have a duel functioning role, allowing the RN to follow the patients from referral to admission and then to discharge. The ideal candidate for this position will be one who can build a positive relationship with physicians and their offices, hospitals, and other appropriate referral sources for admission into our facilities. Will also provide appropriate and timely discharge planning from the hospital(s), arrangements for follow-up health care, assessment of financial resources available for patients and referrals to appropriate community resources as needed.
