Hours: 11p - 7a with every other weekend

PURPOSE:
Performs a variety of Lab tests and procedures with minimal supervision. Produces accurate and timely test results appropriate to specific patient age groups by accepted Laboratory Standards.
The Medical Laboratory Technologist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her department including knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. The employees must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs. It is also necessary that the employee be able to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
M.L.T. ASCP or equivalent preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Associate Degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science. Successful completion of an approved Medical Laboratory Technician program or ASCP qualified by years of experience.
