Middle Market Portfolio Manager
Responsible for the financial analysis, risk assessment and credit structure recommendation for Middle Market credits with sales between $100.0mm-$750.0mm. Complete in depth analysis of financial data and other information provided by the client and/or RM. Supplement analysis with research and evaluations from a wide variety of sources to develop an assessment of client, competitor and industry risks and trends. Analysis will consist of traditional commercial lending, leveraged financing and cashflow lending. Summarize recommendations with supporting financial reports, confer with RM, and present to the Middle Market Senior Credit Officer for final loan authorization. Monitor an assigned credit portfolio and complete annual reviews; maintain a thorough understanding of the content and aggregate risks within the portfolio, trends and other key statistics. Collaborate with the Middle Market RM to identify credit worthy prospects within targeted markets and assist in the prioritization of relationship calling strategies. Minimum Qualifications: Typically has more than 5 years of portfolio management and client relationship experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of commercial associate program or equivalent experience or MBA in Accounting or Finance or in related field or an equivalent combination of educational and experience or other related advanced degree. 5 to 8+ years SunTrust commercial credit experience. 3-5+ years demonstrated financial services experience with commercial banking and credit products or commercial portfolio management. Intermediate PC skills including standard Microsoft Office products and database application. Solid verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated success working in a collaborative team environment
