Medical Technologist Generalist
Medical Technologist Generalist Department: Pathology - Admin/General Schedule: PRN Shift: Evening/Night Hours: tbd Job Details: * Performs the more complex test in the section(s) which require advanced skill and interpretation. May provide leadership to Technologist I or Technicians working in an assigned area of a section. Assist Pathologist in identifying and establishing new test procedures. May provide supervision in the absence of the general supervisor. Has the capacity to rotate through several sections of the Laboratory with consistent accuracy.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology or related science. Must meet all of the criteria of the Medical Technologist I position. Must be certified by a Nationally recognized certifying body i.e., HEW; ASCP; or AMT. Must have three years of recent experience as a technologist of which not less than two years have been spent in the area(s) of assignment. Education may be substituted for experience on a one to one basis.
