Title: Medical Staff Coordinator, Medical Staff Services, RPT, 9a-2p, Mariners Hospital Location: Tavernier The Medical Staff Coordinator acts as a valuable resource to the medical staff and its leadership. She/he supports the daily activities of the Medical Staff Officers, and the tasks associated with the Medical Executive Committee and related committees' functions and decisions. In close collaboration with the entity's and departmental management, she/he is responsible for coordinating many aspects of the Medical Staff Services office that supports the medical staff, such as planning, organizing and covering meetings, peer review activity, fair hearings, etc. The nature of the work varies greatly depending on assignments, which are planned and executed with considerable independence in conformance with JCAHO, established bylaws, policies, regulations and laws. The Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for creating and utilizing standardized communication tools. The position requires the ability to be flexible and ability to prioritize a number of competing tasks. The Medical Staff Coordinator will assist in the coordination of all operational aspects of the office and work in conjunction and under the supervision of the Medical Staff Office Manager/Director. · Associate Degree required · NAMSS CPCS certification to be obtained within 5 years of hiring. · Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hospital/health care setting. · Experience interacting with senior management and health care providers. Able to maintain high level of confidentiality and be diplomatic. Customer service friendly. · Effective professional business written and verbal communication skills required, with strong attention to detail. · Flexible and adapts in a fast-paced environment; able to work independently and act as self-starter. · Demonstrated planning, organization and time management skills. Advanced computer literacy required. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment operations. To be determined by Department.
