We operate on-site employee health centers, pharmacies and fitness centers for many of the country's largest corporations and federal agencies .
We are seeking a full-time, board certified family, occupational, or emergency medicine physician to work in the capacity as Medical Leader/Director for a new, Health & Wellness Center. This position is Monday through Friday with a Saturday rotation. We will provide primary care, acute episodic, and disease management for the employees and dependents of the University of Notre Dame.
Our Physicians work in a team-based environment and serve as clinical leaders who FOCUS on treating and caring for patients, while administrative and management staff handle all non-clinical issues.
The Medical Lead/Director responsibilities include: serving as a ""trusted clinician"" helping patients better manage their own health, providing primary and preventive care, as well as acute care while developing and achieving clinical goals. This position allows you to work in a patient-centric environment utilizing best practices both clinically and technologically.
Our Medical Leader/Director reports directly to the Regional Medical Director and works in tandem with Health Center Manager to ensure a collaborative, team oriented environment. Our Medical Leader will conduct histories, physical exams and prescribe medical treatment. Will develop treatment plans in collaboration with patients and educate and advises on medical issues. Provides referrals both internally (Physical Therapy etc.) and externally to appropriate medical resource or specialists. Overall, the Medical Leader is responsible for the development and implementation of annual health center goals and objectives. He or she is responsible for evaluating the overall effectiveness of medical care and monitors progress of patients.
Required Qualifications:
•Minimum Educational requirement: MD or DO degree, Board Certified in Family Practice, Internal Medicine and/or Occupational Health
•3 - 5 years minimum in Family practice, emergency room, ambulatory care, or Occupational health settings
•Occupational Health, Primary Care or Emergency Medicine or Board Eligible in aforementioned practice areas. If Board Eligible, must take certification exam within twelve months of date of hire.
•Must have current state and federal DEA certification.
•Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
•Minimum 3 years management/leadership experience within the healthcare industry
•Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills
•Superior verbal and written communication skills
•Excellent presentation skills, confident in all settings with individuals at all levels of the organization both internal and external
•Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based programs
•Licensed to practice medicine in the state within which the site is located
Preferred Qualifications:
•Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
•Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations
