Medical Lab Technologist - PRN
Title: Medical Lab Technologist - PRN Location: Texas -Dallas/Ft. Worth Under the direction of the Pathologist and Director of Laboratory Services and in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local regulations and accrediting agencies, the Medical Laboratory Technologist maintains a high level of quality work; performs various chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Receives or obtains specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepares tissue for microscopic examination, hematology, serology, blood banking, urinalysis, chemical and morphological examinations. Assumes responsibility for problem solving and quality control. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from newborn through adolescence. The attached criteria based performance evaluation provides a specific set of standards as they relate to age specific competency
Required education and training culminating in certification by ASCP, NCA or AMT as a Medical Laboratory Technician or qualify as testing personnel under CLIA'88.
