GROWING NEUROLOGY PRIVATE PRACTICE seeks an experienced MEDICAL BILLER/CODER/COLLECTER/MEDICAL ASSISTANT. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking for a part time to full time position doing billing for our busy practice as well as fill in when needed as a medical assistant. Candidate must have experience in medical billing/coding and collecting as well as medial assisting. Candidate must be able to multi-task, be motivated, have their own transportation, be a self starter and willing to learn all aspects of the NEUROLOGY field. REQUIREMENTS: Computer literate. Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding. Knowledge of charge posting in patient management software. Knowledge of claim generation both paper and electronic claims filing. Able to generate monthly billing reports in addition to practice analysis reports and aging reports. Calling insurance companies for claim status. Collections. MEDICAL ASSISTANT REQUIRMENTS Prepare patient examination room and assist physician during examination Measuring vital signs Scheduling diagnostic testing Working knowledge of medical terminology Strong interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills The ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients The ability to work in a team environment The ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, physicians and team members To assist patients, answering heavy phone calls, scanning, Schedule patient appointments, verify insurance benefits, call in prior authorizations, etc. BENEFITS: Competitive salary Benefit package Paid holidays/vacation We need someone upbeat.
