Medical Billing and Collections SpecialistEssential requirement: NextMed seeks a positive, ambitious, technically oriented, hands-on individual to implement and conduct its medical facility billing and scheduling processes.
Potential candidates should have 2+ years of experience in billing insurance companies, appealing insurance claims and difficult collections. Prior experience with medical facility billing for a new organization is a PLUS!
Job Responsibilities:
-Assume all medical billing and scheduling responsibilities
-Implement improvements to reduce days in receivables
-Establish healthy business relationships with medical facilities, doctors offices and insurance companies

-Undergraduate degree preferred
-Minimum of two years medical billing with emphasis on billing from facilities to insurance companies.
-Related experience in a health care environment is highly desirable
-Detail oriented, ability to understand and effect the details
-Proven strong negotiations skills, and ability to effectively negotiate with insurance companies and hospitals
-Experience ensuring effective and timely receivables
-Proven experience forecasting billing needs and requirements.
-Strong project management skills, including related software experience
-Strong communications, interpersonal and people influence skills
-Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
-Ability to understand the inter-workings of an organization and how other departments along with operations contribute and influence growth and success
-Experience with process, quality control and legal compliance
-Strong analytical skills to interpret analyses in support of decisions
