ManhattanPremier HealthCare is an expanding network of primary and specialty care outpatient facilities within the YAI Network of not-for-profit health and human service agencies dedicated to building brighter futures for people with disabilities and their families. We operate clinics on 34th Street in Manhattan, East Tremont Avenue in the Bronx, Remsen Street in Brooklyn and Northern Boulevard in Bayside, Queens.

We are seeking an experienced Billing and Receivables expert for our Manhattan location.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
? Follow up on all claims from billing through final resolution.
? Prepare/submit medical claims electronically (and when applicable by paper) to governmental, private pay and commercial insurance carriers
? Identify and resolve any claim delay issues that impact billing and collections
? Resolve credit balances and account issues
? Post denials/co-pays and deductibles
? Follow up on payment errors, low reimbursement, denials
? Accurately interpret EOB and collections report
? Initiate and track appeals as necessary
? Resolve COB discrepancies
? Post cash and reconcile daily receipts
? Confirm patient insurance verification and eligibility

Minimum Knowledge, Competencies and Qualifications:
? Five+ years of experience in a medical billing/receivables environment
? Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred
? Some college course work completed
? Experience with Medicare/Medicaid/Third Party payers is required
? Knowledge of ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS and Medical Terminology
? Excellent time management skills
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills
? Proficiency with MS Office
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
? Experience with IDX, Article 16 and 28 a plus
