Medical Assistant Department: Family Care Associates Schedule: Full Time Shift: Day/Evening Hours: 40.0 Job Details: * Under direct supervision, assists physician in providing direct patient care and evaluation of patients in an office. Performs direct patient care such as phlebotomy, EKG, specimen collection, wound care, medication administration and vital signs. Maintains supplies and schedules patient appointments. HS or GEDCertificate of training from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Program or National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant. 3yrs of related experience in a clinical setting in lieu of completed training course and/or certificationNo experience necessary if certified or completed training · Knowledge of medical terminology· Skill in using techniques for phlebotomy, EKG, specimen collection, medication administration and taking vital signs· Skill in written and oral communication· Ability to distinguish normal from abnormal diagnostic results · Certificate of training from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Program or National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant. Completion of "Healthcare Provider" CPR course, yearly.
