Job Code: 8627 Facility: Stonington Institute Location: NORTH STONINGTON, CT US Travel Involved: None Job Type: Per Diem Job Level: Minimum Education Required: Certification Skills: Health Care ->Patient Admissions, Clinical Support, Behavioral Health Customer Service ->Frontline Support Category: Healthcare - Rehabilitation FTE: .01 Position Summary: Stonington Institute began serving recovering alcoholics in 1957 as Starlight Farms, a working farm where adults in recovery were introduced to the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous. Today, we are the longest continually operating, free-standing, voluntary treatment facility in New England. Our main campus is located in North Stonington, CT, in its original private and peaceful rural setting. We have additional clinical sites in Groton, Waterford, Willimantic, and Danielson, CT. Transportation and off-campus housing assistance make our programs and services accessible to a statewide clientele. Those programs include: medical detoxification, rehabilitation/residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment (both day and evening), ambulatory detoxification, and DWI education. The Institute accepts private insurance, state-funded plans and self pay arrangements. Takes vital signs of patients, coordination of medical and psychiatric appointments, management of the medication orders procedure, and liaison with the pharmacy. Completes paperwork in association with lab work, computer use, admissions procedure, telephone screening procedures, and patient moves. Twelve-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a).
Requirements High School Diploma. Certified Nurses Aide, EMT, Med Tech Certified, or Certified Medical Assistant. Substance abuse and/or psychiatric experience preferred.
