Medical Assistant II - PGH32 Department: ABC Family Pediatrics - after hrs- 058P Schedule: part time Shift: variable Hours: varies Req Number: 21902 Job Details: Functions as a member of the practice clinical care delivery team to provide selected clinical care to patients under the direction of an LPN, RN, or provider. Performs clerical/administrative duties under the direction of the Practice Manager and/or Office Coordinator. May be required to work in a variety of practice settings. Graduate of a program for Medical Assistant/Administrative Medical Assistant required. Current AAMA certification. Experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician office practice setting preferred. Current BLS level CPR for healthcare provider certification. Computer knowledge and skills required. Demonstrates flexibility and is able to initiate, accept and adapt to changing priorities. Demonstrates excellent service behaviors. Successfully completes, at a minimum, Annual Medication Administration Competency. Assessment. Maintenance of an IDX profile minimum L3NTPR or higher with demonstrated proficiency in charge entry. Competency in the managed care referral process with demonstrated. understanding and mastery of referrals, prior authorizations, and all insurers' requirements. Demonstrated annual clinical competency as determined by LVPG, Practice Manager, Clinical Coordinator and Clinical Educator. Maintain annual compliance with financial changes as they occur.
