Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Demonstrated ability to read and writeLicense/Certifications: Certification as Nurse Assistant, BLSExperience: (1.) Minimum one year previous hospital or nursing home experience, or (2.) enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has successfully completed the introductory med/surg clinical practicum, or (3.) Holds current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Responsibilities:
The Critical Care Associate (CCA) is a support position that has elements of both direct and indirect patient care as delegated by the RN for the patients on a unit, or for specific patients/patient care needs. The CCA has a primary role in ensuring excellence in customer service. The CCA is responsible for the clerical activities of the unit related to accurate and timely transcription, entry of physician and nursing order. Operates the hospital's computer system in the assigned department. Maintains a clean, organized and efficiently stocked nursing station. In addition, the CCA may be assigned to perform tasks that are not within the primary duties, but for which they have demonstrated competency.
