The division is committed to developing innovative products to ensure that motorists get premium performance products to keep their vehicles running like new. Job Description : Description The strategic planning department is accountable to many stakeholders including the senior leadership team and the Automotive Aftermarket Board of Directors. The department has advisory impact on growth initiatives that control the strategic direction of Bosch Automotive Aftermarket in North America. This position is highly visible and holds a high degree of accountability. Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity, and may include corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, business planning and financial analysis: Provide strategic insight, analysis and forecasting of mid- to long-term trends, opportunities and threats Evaluate potential acquisitions and/or joint ventures and divestitures Plan and perform market, product and channel analyses Conduct competitor analyzes Forecast future market trends, sizes and volume Research customer behaviors and competitive threats Assist in long- term growth projects and market entry strategies Coordinate and conduct market studies and research projects Coordinate information requests from colleagues Continuously improve planning, forecasting and analysis processes Evaluate current programs to determine achievement of growth & profitability objectives Evaluate business opportunities Analyze organizational design concepts Provide insight, guidance and thought leadership on industry trends Assist in analysis of government policies and legislative trends. Job Requirements : Education and Experience Requires minimum of a Master#s degree (MBA preferred) Prior work experience with strategic planning, strategy consulting or financial analysis for a top tier firm is desired. Exposure to automotive technology, industrial distribution and/or manufacturing is preferred Skills Must be able to communicate complex concepts succinctly and persuasively (in writing and in speech) Must be able to address senior executives with a high degree of credibility Comprehensive knowledge and strong skills with MS Office applications including: Presentation authorship and delivery Financial modeling expertise Written reports Database analysis Strong understanding of: Finance and economics Marketing Sales Operations and logistics Organizational design Professional qualities: Team player Collaborative approach Thorough Process oriented Strong analytical skills Independent thinking Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills Assertive, accountable, and self motivated Ability to work independently Travel Willing to travel in North America, approximately 10-15%.
