MAJOR GIFTS OFFICER - FH FOUNDATION - SFTE- 1.00FTE - 80HRS/PP -1ST SHIFT - FROEDTERT HOSPITAL - MIL
Job Summary: The Major Gifts Officer (MGO) will solicit gifts of $10,000 and higher primarily from grateful patients and families for Froedtert Hospital initiatives in patient care, education and research. The MGO will identify prospective donors, cultivate relationships, solicit donors and provide stewardship to encourage continued giving. The MGO must be a confident self-starter, able to work with a great deal of autonomy but also in collaboration with Froedtert Hospital Foundation, Froedtert Hospital and Froedtert Health staff; board members and other volunteers; and key partners including The Medical College of Wisconsin and others.
Experience Minimum of three years experience in professional fundraising, sales or related field required. Health care experience preferred. Experience working in a large organization preferred.
Education Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, business or communications related degree is preferred.
Special Skills A proven and measurable track record of successful, face-to-face interactions with prospective donors, clients or customers. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal direction. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment.
