DESCRIPTION: Member of the LTC unit health team that administers medications and treatments to LTC resident. The LPN or RN will oversee, monitor and coordinate care performed by Certified Nurse Assistants in conjunction with the interdisciplinary care team. Provide direct care to the resident under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, according to established standards and practices. The Licensed Practical Nurse provides and coordinates resident care as outlined in this position description. May also be required to provide nursing care in other nursing departments of the facility to meet patient/resident care needs. REQUIREMENTS:Current AK Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse; current with CEU credits; BLS certification. A minimum of one (1) year experience in Gerontology, preferable in a Long Term Care facility. Basic computer literacy; numerical ability to calculate drug dosages; current IV skills; supervisory skills/aptitude. COMPENSATION:Grade 8 (LPN) or Grade 13 (RN), Step DOE Additional Information
Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required. Rotating Shifts may be required.
