LPN - Long Term Care Department: D-2 Nursing Home Schedule: Part-Time Shift: Hours: 7am 3pm Job Details: *
Works under the supervision of Registered Nurse and assumes responsibility for administering resident care, promoting wellness and functional ability. Adheres to the nursing process according to established standards of gerontological nursing. Functions as Charge Nurse in certain circumstances. Performs other duties as assigned.
High school graduate or GED. Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing, and currently licensed to practice in the State of New York. CPR certification. Trained and experienced in medication administration. Minimum of one year medical/surgical nursing experience and prior geriatric experience preferred. Employees hired prior to 2004 are required to obtain BLS certification by December 31, 2006. Employees hired after January 1, 2005, are required obtain BLS certification within one year of the date of hire.
