The Lead Health Plan Coordinator/Trainer provides leadership, mentoring, and serves as a primary resource to Auth/Cert/Referral staff, under the direction of the department director. The Lead Health Plan Coordinator/Trainer works collaboratively with & provides leadership to Health Plan Coordinators & Managed Care Nurses to perform all aspects of managed care, including the referral, prior authorization, & precertification processes, using and revising Essentia's established policies and procedures for managed care activities. Provides training for a variety of systems used to complete the Referral and Auth/Cert process for all staff involved whether centralized or decentralized. Works collaboratively with clinical areas and business services both internally and externally. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.
Education/Experience:
·Associate degree and
·Three years experience in process management, education, healthcare, or related field, including demonstrated experience in training staff with a minimum of one year of the experience in a Healthcare Business Office function Type of Employment Regular Full-Time FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) 1.00 Shift Days Start time i.e. HH:MM am/pm 8 am End time i.e. HH:MM am/pm 4:30 pm Union position?
